Not making excuses: just sharing observations. I agree that prolonged silence is deadly to a segment of the community. That said, there’s another (perhaps larger) segment who are just going about their day and not paying any attention to the timing of such things: they’ll look into it when it comes out, and until then they may not notice or care.
